Old Monk is a traditional dark rum produced by Mohan Meakin Limited from India. Old Monk brand was launched in 1960s decade. It is blended and aged for a minimum of 7 years. It is the 2^nd largest selling aged dark rum in the world. The bottle has a kind of glass netting on the bottle (presumably to make gripping it easier in such a hot a sticky climate).
