Amarula is made in South Africa by cream, sugar and the fruit of the African marula tree.

The marula fruits falls off its tree before it has fully ripened. It finishes maturing on the ground, and its flesh turns from green to yellow, signaling that it's ready to eat-or distilled.

Offers a distinct nose with citrus notes of orange which combines with rich vanilla and toasty nuttiness. Gives a plush and mouth-filling taste. It initially hits the palate like velvet, and yet manages never to feel too heavy or overpowering flavors of vanilla bean, creamsicle orange, Italian nougat Torrone, and hint of toasted hazelnuts predominate.
